Biological Service Center

Numerous projects can be accomplished at the Sheldon Biological Service Center without disturbing the laboratory routine. It can be utilized as an area for group effort or an individual study carrel for biology or biochemistry. With its built-in exhaust system, the center is a biological fume hood. Students can work with strong acids and bases such as hydrochloric and sulphuric acids, potassium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide. The germicidal lamp can produce a sterile area for projects involving microorganisms. The rinse-away sink facilitates quick cleanup of animal substances, fluids and other residue from biological research.
